Episode 1 :: DANG...

  • 2 oz Makers Mark
  • 1 oz raspberry syrup*
  • 3-4 dashes angostura bitters

In a stirring glass combine Makers Mark bourbon, raspberry syrup and angostura bitters. Fill with ice, stir 30 rotations and strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass. Top with a splash of 3 Stars Brewing Lemon Pepper Saison and lemon twist.

*To make the raspberry syrup, place all ingredients listed below in a pot, bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, strain while hot, and reserve syrup.  Keeps refrigerated for up to 3 months.

  • 2 pints of raspberries
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 bay leaves

Episode 2 :: Bitter Plum Carbonated Cocktail

Take all ingredients and pour into ISI soda siphon, then top, close and charge. Shake siphon. Fill a Collins glass with ice and carefully spray drink into glass. Garnish with sprig of mint and a grapefruit peel.

* To make a plum shrub, gather the ingredients listed below. Wash, slice and combine plums with sugar in a non-reactive bowl. Stir, cover, and allow to stew in the refrigerator for 2 days, stirring daily. After two days, a significant amount of juice will have formed. Strain the mixture into a bowl, discard the fruit, and add the vinegar to the syrup. The mixture will be sweet and tart; but remember it’s a mixer. Pour the shrub into an air-tight jar and refrigerate. Flavors will continue to develop as time passes. The vinegar will mellow and new notes of fruit will emerge.

  • 1 cup sliced plums
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar

Episode 3 :: music man

  • 1 oz aperol
  • .5 oz grapefruit juice

  • 1 sprig of verbena
  • 1 marigold flower

In a wine glass, combine aperol, grapefruit juice, shiso and verbena. Then fill with ice and top with rosé champagne. Gentle stir, then garnish with a bit of shiso leaf.
